Time for a stroll

From the top of the Sainte-Marie cathedral you can plan your route: in Grand Bayonne, between Château-Vieux and its city walls, from the marketplaces to the archways of the Rue du Port Neuf and its boutiques. Then along the quays where you can take the Panneceau bridge to link up to Petit Bayonne, where you will find the Bonnat museum and Basque museum, the cultural centre of the Basque country. On foot, on the free city centre shuttle bus or by bike hired from the tourist office, its up to you how you discover Bayonne!

Guided city tours take place on Saturdays at 10.30am and 3pm, in addition to other themed tours during the week.
